Health Camp in Devrukh on April 13, 2008

April 13th in Devrukh was a very important and fulfilling day. From 9 am until 9 pm, NGF had organized a health camp with the kind help of Dr.Marjorie Curran and Dr.Tom Ptak. Dr. Marjorie Curran is a primary care pediatrician at Mass General Hospital for Children. She is the Director of Pediatric Urgent Care and also serves as a Hospitalist on the in-patient pediatric service. Marjie is an instructor at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Thomas Ptak is a neuroradiologist who works in the Emergency Ward at Massachusetts General Hospital. He is a member of the International Medical/Surgical Urgent Response Team which responds to disasters across the globe.

They treated and vaccinated about 180 children ranging anywhere from between a newborn child to a 16 year old child. Medicines worth over $5000 were donated by Dr.Marjorie Curran and Dr.Tom Ptak. Their participation as a family in this noble cause along with their children Alex, Chris and Luke told the story of the American spirit to share and serve humanity. Several goodwilled local community volunteers offered their support towards this medical camp including Mr. P.V.Pitre and others.
