Welcome to NGF's Indore Chapter!

A pilot NGF's Dharma Yuga Project is in progress in Indore. Please contact Indore Chapter's Secretary Nilesh Dhoble regarding Dharma Yuga project.

Dharma Yuga Project
a program of Kids Supporting Kids

NGF is launching a self-sustaining program of "Kids Supporting Kids" program in cities across several states in India called Dharma Yuga; in Sanskrit "Dharma" means right action among other things and also came to be known as giving or charity and "Yuga" means yoke, team or pair. In this program, privileged children would support one or more underprivileged children locally. The seed money needed to launch one of this project in an city in India that would result in the support of 1000 children and make the project self-sustaining in a year is around $8000. This is similar to Social Entrepreneurship model except everything in this project is social and not entrepreneurial.

The children brought under this program are taught of the purest values of Dharma such as charity, truth, equanimity and honest social responsibilities. The children are encouraged to practice Right View, Thought, Speech, Action, Livelihood, Effort, Remembrance and Concentration to fulfill his or her duty to humanity with compassion and without discrimination.

Each of this project would be funded in four (4) phases for four (4) quarters not exceeding US $8000 for the first year. The ultimate goal of this project is to make several self-sustaining projects all across India without further funding after the first year with initial seed funding of $8000.
