NEXTGEN Race Weekend Invitationals: this is an opportunity to invite girls and their families to a VIP racing event. A full day at the track with paddock access, hospitality, meet and greet with professional female ambassadors and tickets to watch the race. We will show the girls the pinnacle of success that is achievable in motorsports.
NEXTGEN Track Days: these are opportunities to bring these communities to the track to experience a day of karting and explain the STEM theories used in motorsports. Track days will be days of learning to build on the initial exposure to an on-track experience. Track days will be organized in partnership with industry leaders as well as relevant not-for-profits that partner with the Foundation focused on the development of next gen successful women.
NEXTGEN Development Program: this will be a multi-day program over several months so that the girls take a deep dive into motorsports in general; racing in particular. They will learn the ins and outs of kart mechanics and engineering, get on track experience, learn how to drive, and maneuver the kart. Participants in the program will be eligible for the Foundation’s scholarship.
NEXTGEN Scholarships: The scholarships will provide girls the opportunity to run a full, competitive karting (or other feeder series) season. The scholarship will include mentorship, equipment, coaching and a full team experience that could lead to a professional career. Nextgen will partner with existing team owners, teams and sponsors so that the scholars have a 360-degree experience. The current plan calls for the Foundation to offer two scholarships each year, initially based in California. There will be a competitive application process to select the scholars that includes a personal essay and/or video, written commitment from the candidate and their guardians should they be selected and personal references. The candidates will be chosen by our Board or Advisory Council and announced before the preseason.
